Go See Bat Activity

Filsingers Organic Apple Orchard (Ayton, Ontario, Canada) - We worked with Filsingers to erect a 5 foot x 8 foot - 3 chamber bat house which has the capacity to hold 2,500 bats, which will consume in excess of 11 million pesky insects in 24 hours.  You can find a map on the Filsinger website - note: the retail store has closed, so if you are interested in watching for bats, you would have to call Filsingers and arrange for this.  As of 2019, we are not sure how many bats use the bat house.  Click here to read an article about this bat house, on the Bat Conservation International website (page 15)
